The Strom Thurmond Institute at Clemson University is a public policy research center and archival resource dedicated to serving South Carolina and the region. Home to the extensive Strom Thurmond Collection and Special Collections & Archives resources, the Institute supports objective research, graduate education, and community engagement programs that address key public policy issues.
Located on Clemson’s main campus, the Institute provides access to historical archives, research materials, and educational initiatives that connect students, scholars, government leaders, and community partners with valuable historical and policy insights.
Location Directions : Located on the Clemson University campus near the Brooks Center for the Performing Arts. From Highway 93, enter campus near Perimeter Road, follow signs for the Brooks Center, then continue to Kappa Street. Limited visitor parking is available near the building; additional parking can be found in designated campus lots.
